I have literally tried everything to get Smart Tasks to trigger on my main database, but nothing triggers. When I try it with the demo database, it works.
I have ACT! Pro 2013 running on Windows XP Pro.
Does anyone have any idea of how to fix this?

Personally I gave up on Smart Tasks and have moved most of my clients to SAM from Northwoods as a much more powerful tool

OK. So what I did was create a blank copy of the database(save copy as|create an empty copy of the database) and import contacts, companies, notes, histories etc. It worked.
I cannot find where I can get all my Smart Tasks I have created back into the new database,.
I looked around and it looks like it cannot be done. Am I correct or am I missing something?

I woldn't bother. I've been testing the smart tasks all day (something that Sage might like to do at some point)
it just doesn't work IMHO. It does sometimes...but not other times. and i don't know why. there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. i can't report it as a bug as i can't repeat the errors myself sometimes. so therefore it's not a big right :-)
There is no point, IMHO, of risking losing important task actions on apparently untested functionality. I would do it manually until a bug fix release.

What a pity! What do your programmers do all day? Can't someone think these things through?
Smarkgee, if that's the case, ... (don't know what to say). Pretty sad.
