Smart Tasks Update Field feature not working with checkboxes

I am using ACT! Premium 2013 and am wanting to create a smart task that updates a checkbox field when the conditions are met - but these fields aren't appearing in the list. Has anyone else come accross this?

 

It seems odd that checkboxes wouldn't be included...

Hello Danielle,
Welcome to the ACT! Community. The following field types cannot be updated through Smart Tasks:
Date
Time
Date/Time
Yes/No (checkbox)
Picture (not expected)
Phone
Number
Memo
Decimal
Currency

As a workaround, you can create a character field with a dropdown list, where the choices are Yes or No, or True or False.
