Slow system

I have a 2.39 ghz, 2 gb RAM machine running Act 9.  The database I'm using only has 1800 contacts and I have roughly 500 activities.  My calendar is SLOW, very slow.  Anytime I change the date or time on an activity, I have performance issues.

I have deleted all cleared activities.  I have also deleted old history.

Any Suggestions?

Re: Slow system

Very difficult to diagnose via a forum like this, however, check the KnowledgeBase for this article 16605, which has some suggestions.

Good knowledge base article Neil,

You can also Reindex your database and use RUN / ACTDIAG ( REindex or REbuild options ).

If you have VISTA, this may also help?

Windows ReadyBoost For Vista ONLY
Use your USB Flash Drive to Add Memory or store data.
Windows VISTA SuperFetch    Vista ONLY
Enables programs and files to load much faster than they would on Windows XP–based PCs.
