How do I email my ACT 10.0 data base from work - to home?
Home has no contacts - work is building up.
I tried emailing the .pad file home - and open - message = no network access.
Which files do I email ? ADF / PAD / ????

The pad file is a simple "shortcut" to the sql database. ADF is the SQL DB, and ALF the log file for this DB.
Create a backup of your database. And restore it at home. Have a look at this KB article for more information.

Only problem - the back up I created last night - evidentially doesn't contain a "back up file"
Machine at work said "back up complete" to my jump drive.
Very disappointed in this method of moving DB's
Any other suggestions?

Thank you for the tip.
It aborted abnormally.
There was a previous user on my work PC - Holly - she used Act 2007.
I loaded Act 10 2008
In the abort - it shows her name HOLLY01 - in the my documents line of the back up.
It shows lots of .bak problems.
How do I remove ALL of 2007 and my current act - so I can download fresh and start from scratch - WITHOUT losing my current DB?
