Sharing Databases on ACT! 2011

I want to view databases from the user computer, from the data that has been installed from the server computer.

I have installed software and registered both computers.

I have them both set up to share.... both have the software installed.

I have sent the .pad file to the user computer from the administrator

i have reviewed your knowledgebase...followed directions.

I am unable to save it to my desktop... or a file... it will not let me paste after I sent to an email, from the administrator

What happens when you try?
What email client?
You can also put it in a shared folder on the server and copy it from there

I tried sending to / from my yahoo account.

The same result.

Here is the file string...

Am I doing something wrong at this level ?

Well, it could be the browser as per my 2nd link ...

But, not sure where that string is? That's the path to the file.

BTW: I would usually recommend putting a shared database in the Public folder or create one like C:\ACTData
Windows can do some funny things with security on the Users folders.
