Shading if empty?

Anybody ever seen a way to apply a shade to a field if the field is empty?

As a flag to a user that something in that field is missing (aside the simple fact that it is empty!).

Somthing like an orange shade if empty to catch the eye for employees entering data.

Yet it can still be empty, just an alert.

Re: Shading if empty?

Thanks.

I have Smart Notes (and love it).

But use it sparingly so notes aren't popping up everywhere.

Just a thought.

The two products do different ways of notification ... if you already have SN, you should create some to auto popup when the field is empty

Re: Shading if empty?

This particular input screen Tab has 20 fields in it and some don't get used.

But if they changed color as data was input that would be easier on the eyes than numerous popups.

Maybe Jim Durkin will make something (custom probably).

Re: Shading if empty?

Yes.
I actually think I may like the the one better than Sticky Notes.

Sticky Notes is a tad slow sometimes and the visual presentation of the information bar looks more user friendly.

Not quite what I was looking for for this application where I have to enter pilot qualifications in about 24 different fields.

Some qualifications they may or may not have which isn't critical.  but nice to know.

Pretty sure that with TopLine Designer, you could create a script in "global scripts" that would do this...  as another option...
