ACT! 2013, Version 15.1. Windows 7, Home Premium. All programs up to date, I think.
When I click on the Email tab I get the Act error: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I don't have slightest idea of what this means.
When the error message comes up it freezes evertning on ACT and I have to close it down using the Task Manager.
Help is required.

This is a fairly common issue, you might find the following KBase article helpful:

select the situation that most closely matches what you are doing when the error occurs, and follow the steps provided.
