Using ACT 2010 and Windows 7. I am a business broker and sell businesses. My objective is to set up opportunities to track buyers and the various stages of the cycle. I set up each client as a product. When I find a new buyer, I add them as a new opportunity and link them to the appropriate product. The problem is the main opportunity screen does not list both the product and contact information. This screen does include a field called opportunity name, but the field seems to be informational / free form and not tied to the product? I tried customizing columns but that did not have the product field.
Your thoughts and recommendations are appreciated. If customization is the answer, I am open to paying someone to get this right. Thanks. Mike.
