Searching date and number ranges - functionality gone?

In older versions of ACT!, you could search a date range or number range using the format "100 .. 200" to search for everything between 100 and 200.  This functionality seems to have been totally removed from ACT! unless you do an advanced search and add both >=100  AND <= 200 to the search list.

Is there a new format for this quick search, or have they just removed it (which would be a giant step backwards for search capability)?

Best Regards,

Chuck

Chuck,

You'll have to use advanced queries to perform a search like this.  SQL uses different commands to do searching in the database, which is why you cannot use "100 .. 200" to so the searches.

It's a shame they couldn't find some functionality to do this on the main contact screen without resorting to advanced queries - doing quick lookups for size or date ranges is much more time consuming having to go through the advanced query.
