I am running Sage ACT! Pro 2011 Version 13.0.401.0, Hot Fix 2. I want to be able to remove occurrences of ""Mr" / "Ms" / "Mrs"" with nothing from the Contact Name Field.. I haved a contact list of about 7,800 records. About 60% of these have "Mr" / "Ms" or "Mrs" before the contacts actual name. Is their a procedure within ACT Pro 2011 to be able tp do this? The Edit/Replace Field option, will not do this! It will only replace the whole content of the field with what I specify. I only want to remove "occurrences of ""Mr" / "Ms" / "Mrs"" with nothing, from any records which contacin this saluatation in front of the contacts name.
I realize that I can export the whole database to Excel, and do it in Excel, and then re-import it back to ACT 2011. But that seems like an awful long way around the block, for something which any relational data base sofware should have the capability of doing. After all, ACT! Pro 2011 is relational data base sofware.
