I'm having trouble scheduling a backup.
I'm sure it's a simple error.

1) have you changed yoru ACT password recently?
2) can you back up manually?
3) are you backing up locally or accross a network. Does it work locally?
4) check permissions
5) is anyone in the database that might have a file opened?

Dear Mr. Martin,
Same error.

The error message in the log you supplied is:
Access to the path 'C:\...\myDB-database files\Attachments\Act-Notes.csv' is denied.
The first thing to try is copy that file elsewhere, and delete it from where it currently is, and try doing a backup again.
Also, you should delete all tasks from the ACT! scheduler, rightclick on it, and Run As Administrator. Stop the service, start it up again, then create a task. That should fix it.

I tried both, and it just gave me the same error for another attachment file.

Does the problem exist if you try the demo database? Also, try a file, save copy as and see if the proiblem is in the copy.

I noticed you have the backup going every 2 hours...if you change to once a day, do you still see the error?

Thank you.
I de-selected the backup attachments checkbox and the scheduled backup worked, so the problem is with the attachments.
Does this help? Do you have any ideas about that?
