Sage Please Help: Another problem with ACT!2013 I discovered. Been wrestling with it for 2 weeks.
ACT!2013 not compatible with Broadlook Contact Capture -or- RChilli Resume Parser.(OUCH)
.(Broadlook error message =ACTBlue Library was unable to be registered.). The system cannot find the file specified, classid: {1281678A-D180-4831-80FE-7CF01E2C6A6C}..
I use and sell these products with my own Fill Staff db ACT! add-on. No longer able to due to problem with ACT!2013.
I have not had time yet to test other products such as; Broadlook(other products), Egrabber, etc...
Hope you will take a moment to look into this as it shuts down part of my business.
I just spoke with Broadlook and below is copy of the email they sent me regarding this problem;
Bill,
After discussing with customer support they did advise me that the errors are a result of ACT 2013. Apparently ACT has elected to not do what is needed for it to be compatible with Contact Capture.
Sorry I didn’t have better news.
Susan F..
These are very powerful tools to help ACT! users automatically perform magical feats of data entry and document management. Would be a shame to lose them. Will be happy to run test if you need my assist.
Will be hoping for simple and quick resolve. Please let me know.
Thank you - FSBill

I use this product as well. Fortunately I am using the Export to Excel which is better than nothing. Mike is right - since the tool runs outside of ACT it is a Framework App. All framework apps, including our own, had to be recompiled to work with .Net 4. And that is not backwards compatible. So you need a version for versions prior to 2013 and one for 2013. Pain in the posterior. But .Net 4 gives Sage more tools to work with to add enhancements.
So, the vendor saying ACT didn't do what it needed is kind of a cop-out kinda answer. Sigh.
