SQLSERVER.EXE USING TOO MUCH MEMORY

I not sure if I need sqlserver.exe because I have ACT 11.1 installed on my personel computor and have no need for accessing any type of server. This program consumes a large amount of memory and I would like to remove sqlsever.exe and continue using ACT....

Can SQLSERVER.EXE be removed for useres not needing to access a server?

Thank you!

Re: SQLSERVER.EXE USING TOO MUCH MEMORY

it uses a lot of memory, but too much is somewhat subjective based on what else you have running, age of computer, amount of memory, and so on.

However, this is relatively moot, since the ACT! data *is* SQLSERVER - you cannot remove it (unless you access a db on another machine, but that's another kind of setup, and doesn't sound like what you have).
