Using ACT! 2012, Windows 7, local database (not shared).
Everything has been perfect until this morning. Tried to start the program and received the error message "SQL Database instance is unavailable".
Rebooted - no change.
Checked services and restarted both SQL Server Browser and SQL Server (ACT7). Still no change.
Restored my last backup with a new name. It loaded without issue.
I have about a week's worth of changes that I really hate to loose. Any way to repair the existing database?

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Yes. I have managed a wor around to use the restored database. Restored my backsup with a unique name from the one that I am having an issue with. I no longer need the "bad" database, but I can't seem to delete it since it will not open up. I guess my question has evolved now to how do I delete a database that I cannot open? I've read that manually deleting it is not the way to go.
