SERIAL NUMBER

Where can the serial number be found, which needs to be entered when registering?

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

Usually on a sticker on the CD packaging... or, with Premium, it would be on a seperate license certificate

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

From any ACT! screen click on Help>about ACT! and the serial number will be a part of the displayed information

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

If you still have the email sent to you when you registered, it would be in that. If not, you'll need to contact Sage Customer Service

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

Thanks Mike. I can't find the email.

After I posted this I decided to call but they said that they do not have the serial numbers for my version, 6.0 from back around 2003.  Old timey I know, but I just did not want to spend the extra bucks if I did not have to.  I was very satisfied with that version.

O well, thanks for your help.

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

I used 6.0 on an old computer that died on me.

I am now trying to install it on my new computer but I can't without the serial number that I lost.

Re: SERIAL NUMBER

Do you still have access to the old PC - eg the registry?

Since ACT! 2005 (7.0), you have to register, so Sage has a database (supposedly) of all the serials. Symantec didn't require this with the old versions.

So, if you can't find the key, you'll either have to purchase a copy somewhere or upgrade.

I actually think I might still have some 6.0 licenses  somewhere...
