Router/Sync RDB issues - New User


Thx for any and all help! I've loaded my ACT RDB file on an office server that I want to access via laptop from home. All ACT sync settings on the laptop and server appear to be correct. We have a static IP address and our router is configured to recognize a sync access attempt and allow it thru to the server. All IP addresses/port #'s have been checked and double checked. I've had 4 sessions with ACT support, but I still get an error when trying to sync remotely, indicating I do not have access to the network I'm looking for.  All firewalls and antivirus software have been disabled. Really frustrating!

Although I can "ping" it with no problem, at this point I think it's a router issue. I'm using a Belkin  N Router, model # F5D 8236-4

Does anyone have a recommendation about routers that work well with the ACT rdb sync feature?
