I have ACT 2008 installed on 2 computers. the desktop is the master and the laptop is the slave.
I synch once a week. My desktop crashed and I have ordered a new one. I ahve about one week worth of data
that has not been synched to the laptop. I am able to take the hard drive from my old desktop and hook it up
to my friends computer in order to put the necessary files on my flash drive. What files should I be looking for?
Also I am getting warnings from my laptop that data hasn't synched in 16 days...unless I synch I will lose my data???

A couple of things: the warning does not cause data loss, it's just a warning and you rally can't sync the two databases. Because the laptop has the most complete data, when you have the new computer, backup the database (File | Backup) and then restore the backup on the new computer using the restore as option. You will then need to setup synchronization again using the database on the new computer as the publisher.
