I am trying to restore an ACT! 2007 Premium database on a new PC. I loaded hte software and have tried to restore several times. I am restoring to a local drive (not network). I get about 65% through and then the process freezes up - no error message, it just freezes. Happens every time I try. Any advice is appreciated.

If you are attempting to restore the backup from a shared network folder, copy the backup file to the local drive and attempt to restore.
There may be an issue with the backup file itself:
- If copied to the local hard drive, delete it and copy the file again > attempt restore.
- Attempt to restore on the original computer (use Restore > Database > Restore As to prevent overwriting original database).
- Create a new backup > copy to new workstation > attempt restore.
