I have two databases--all contacts-- and --churches--which were lost when I moved. I cannot find either database now and am trying to retore them and ACT is asking me for an ID and password. I am using version 10 (2008) of Act and Windows XP. I type in "Pat Bell" and use no password and Act does not accept that. Can you tell me how to find out how to make up a new ID and password? Any help would be greatly appreciated. firstname.lastname@example.org

When it prompts for a username/password, try several combinations of your name (ex: 'pat', or 'pbell'). When you were previously able to open the database, the first contact record that would be presented was your record - do you recall the name that was listed on that screen? It is most likely the same as your username.
Give this a try and let us know if you were successful or not.
