I have to reset the calendar filtering every time I open ACT to not display scheduled calls.. This preference was always saved until last week. Any tips? Thanks!

This could be due to corrupted preferences. You can rebuild the preferences by following the Knowledgebase article below:

I did rebuild the preferences a few weeks ago to try to eliminate the "not enough memory" error. Rebuilding the preferences did not eliminate the daily error and few days later the calendar would not retain preferences.
I have manually changed the settings 15 or 20 times. It finally just "took" for some reason.
By the way,has anyone tried restoring an old preference file? Since I typically do not change my preferences, would a several month old preference file be good to restore?

Is there a particular preference that you are trying to retain?

As I mentioned in the post above, my calendar was not filtering out low priority items. After repeated attempts over a few days the calendar is now filtering properly .

I apologize for the misunderstanding. You had said that it was now working properly, so I thought that you were trying to restore a different preference than the one you mentioned that was not holding.
Technically, you can use old preference files. However, it's not really recommended. If you use internet mail, you could lose your mail and have to reconfigure the settings for it. Additionally, if there were any corrupted preference files in the old preference folder, you may end up having to reset the preferences again.
