I have tried searching the knowledge base and I have also tried searching the forums for this problem, but I have had no such luck.
I am trying to setup remote access to a database using ACT! by Sage Version 10.
The server is running Vista (and the client is running XP) and I have setup the file shares to have the proper read write access (or so I think) as detailed in the knowledge base article. Then I copied the PAD file over to the client machine.
The client can open the PAD file and, as far as I know, and I don't get any obvious errors. However, when I try and view the personal information (address, phone number, etc) I can't. In fact the place where you would normally enter such information in is greyed out. The database has all contacts names and additionally I can view all of the Business information including phone numbers and whatnot.
Is there a log file I can look at, or just some way I can find out if there are errors, or does anyone know where I can look on these forums or in the knowledge base for further information?
Any information at all would be more than I have now
