Re: Remote Database

Graham - What version of ACT! are you using?

Please call if you want to discuss this.  We are in the UK and would love to help.

Re: Remote Database

Graham - Can you check (Help|About ACT!) that you have Version 11.1.183.0, Hotfix 1, Hotfix 2.  This might be the problem if you don't have HF 2.

Re: Remote Database

Please go to http://tinyurl.com/oeg3ll to install both HFs 1 and 2.  I presume you're trying to set up ACT! Network Sync.

To be honest this might be something that should be done by an ACT! Certified Consultant if you're getting problems.  At what stage exactly are you getting the error message?

Re: Remote Database

Had a look at the documentation and I can't see that it would solve my problem, having said that I will install hotfix 2 when I can get everybody off the system, thanks for your help

Re: Remote Database

Graham - when all the users are out of the shared database, turn off database share and then create the remote database. This knowledge base article covers this error message: http://tinyurl.com/pjpomg
