I recently had to reinstall Windows 7; resulting in reinstalling all my programs including Act 2011.
I had backed up my data base and did a zip file for import export.
Now I cannot use my old data base and get errors: This dat base is not shared; also the dta base must be from the same computer, whcih it is.

Welcome to the Sage ACT! Community. Reinstalling your O/S gave your machine a new identity, so you cannot do a Restore on it. When you go to File > Restore > Database, choose the "Restore As" option, which is used when restoring a database on a different machine than the one the backup was created on.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
