Reinstalling ACT on the Master PC, in a sync environment.

Hi, I have 2 PC's the "Master" one has developed a fault, and I need to reinstall ACT.....I need to know what steps to take to ensure the "Remote" PC does not lose its connections...

I will of course make backups in SQL 2005.....

I plan to do a COMPLETE removal of ACT..Then a new install, restore the current DB, (Named the same as now)..Then hopefully just reconnect the Remote PC.....

Any thoughts on pit falls to avoid...

The sync system is also looking for each computer's name. The "Master" and the "Remote"

So, make sure that your new "Master " computer has the computer name as the old one.
