Reinstall ACT 2010 to new computer

We have a registered and activated copy of ACT 2010.  Recently the hard drive on one of our computers died and we needed to reinstall.  It has installed a trial version which is working fine and valid for 30 days but I can't activate it without re-registering.  We have already registered and activated way back when (I have both numbers in an email) so not sure how to proceed with this.  Can you assist please?

Thanks.

Go through the registration and it should activate.

Thanks Roy.  Appreciate your help.

Do we need to do this each time we reinstall.  Also is that going to cause any problems for the other computer we have installed for this licence?

Thanks, Stephie

Re: Reinstall ACT 2010 to new computer

Hi Sophie,

It depends on what information has been removed before you reinstall. If it's a full hard drive wipe and reinstall, Act! will need to be registered again with your serial number.

If Act! is uninstalled and reinstalled in the normal Windows way without anything else major changing, it should remember your serial and won't ask for it again to register, however if it does, there is no harm in re-registering.
