I rely on Dynamic groups to indicate which contact(s) I have attempted to reach during the current workday so that I can follow-up with an email at the end of the day.
My Query, "Last Attempt" & "Last Reach" & "Today" returns results for the Call Attempts I have made in the last 2 days (in this case Sept 4 & 5) instead of today only.
One member suggested that the problem had to do with (a bug) the discrepancy between my and the Act clock timezones (EST and GMT).
If this was the case it would be annoying but not a big problem as I would have to simply keep in mind that the results would be not be accurate after 8 p.m. my time (EST) given the +4 hour (GMT) time difference. But it's not the solution, queries at 2:00 p.m. EST still return results for today and yesterday.
I still think, I must be missing something, it seems too obvious and problematic to have gone un-reported.

This is a response to this forum post, as well as http://community.act.com/t5/Act/Query/td-p/249221.
It should go by your system clock, but scheduled items often appear differently if your server is set to a different time zone, or if the database is set to a different time zone. I would like more information to continue with this: Is this a local database? if not, what time zone is your server in? Do you know what time zone your database is set to?

Thank you for addressing this issue.
I am not on a server, am on ESTd and my computer clock is set to the correct time for my time zone.
How do you I check "what time zone my database is set to?"

You'd have to open up ActDiag. In your version you might have to check the actions menu if you don't see it as per this article:
