PxActPlugin

In the last few days, this plug-in has started loading with my Act Pro 2013.  It appears in the Taskbar with the Act! handshake icon, but clicking and right-clicking do nothing.  Anyone know what it is?

Re: PxActPlugin

I've not been able to find a file with this name within the installation files for the Pro or Premium versions of Sage ACT! 2013.

The first question would be: Have you installed any ACT! add-ons recently?

If not and you would like to stop it from loading:

Look in the following directory for a file named 'pxactplugin', if found - rename it (add '.old' to the end) or remove it from the directory.

32-bit OS: C:\Program Files\ACT\Act for Windows\Plugins

64-bit OS: C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows\Plugin

If not found in the Plugin folder, check the 'Act for Windows' folder.

The 'Plugin' folder is where all ACT! plugins 'should' be installed.  If it is not listed there, perform a search on the whole C: drive to locate it.

Re: PxActPlugin

Thanks.  I am trialing a new plug-in (Dial|IT, which allows outgoing calls from Act! via Skype), but there's no such file that I can find in it or in the Act! directory on my PC.  I have also installed PhraseExpress, which is a standalone program but may be the source ("PhraseExpress" may suggest "Px"), but I can't find anything in that directory, either.
