If I purge history records in my ACT 2009 (11.0), will it increase the overall performance of my program?
Is there anything I can do aside from upgrading my hardware to improve speed of processing?
I am tired of waiting for my records to appear... If I cannot find a solution to improve the speed of processing, I am planning to get a programmer build my own system, adapted to my situation.
(I run on a 2.8GH Intel Celeron, 1 GH RAM)
Thank you for your response,
All the best!

Try increasing you swap file, I use 2046 and 4092. Also try turning off the swap file and defragging the hard drive and then turn it back on.
Another thing, if you have your antivirus set to autoscan, set it to exclude the ACT! program files.
