Problems renaming an ACT database

We have ACT Premium 2008.  I have a database that I want to rename, and it won't let me do it.  We have a server, and several laptops.  I work remotely at home and login via VPN and I also work in the office.  I tried to rename it from home, and it said that I needed to be on the computer where the database was created.  So, next day when in the office, I got on the computer that it was created on.  Still wouldn't let me do it.  I was told that I need to access the server directly???  I don't understand, since all the laptops access the server.....This seems like it should be very simple...I just want to name the database a different name!  Help!

ACT! 2008 doesn't access the database directly but works through the MSSQL server. That means to do what you want you need to be using the ACT! installation on the server where the database is located and then you need to do a Save As with the new name and then delete the original copy of the database.
