Problem with ACT Quick Attach

Hi,

 

We have Act 2009 and the users in our company who have laptops are having a problem with the Quick Attach button in Outlook. The button works fine until for example they go home and open Outlook, the Quick Attach can then not see the database so it comes up asking them to select a database, they don't have any local databases so can only cancel that but the problem is when they are back on the network the Quick Attach bar is not automatically re-added and they have to go through tools/preferences etc in Act to re-add it.

 

Is there a workaround for this problem or has anybody else experienced this?

This is expected since the user can no longer access the shared database.  You can workaround this issue by providing the user a remote database.
