Problem with 2013 license

I have a few questions.  My license got corrupted and no matter what I did, the protexis license won't register.

I uninstalled ACT and re-installed.  Now I get this error:

I am on ACT 2013 SP1 HF4.

Is this something that can be fixed?  I've tried to install twice now.

Hello,

Try:

25865 Error: "Resolution of the dependency failed" or "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." When Launching Act!

Re: Problem with 2013 license

Thank you for the suggestions but they did not fix my issue.  I am unable to open ACT.

I was able to try all of them except for renaming the plugin directory.  It is in use, no mater what ACT services I stopped.

I am using Outlook 2013 with ACT .. or at least I was before having to re-install ACT.

Where else can you point me?

Can you double check you have reinstalled the same version of ACT including any service patches?

It is the same version.

Perhaps I should try to manually uninstall and start fresh?

Try removing the Act! preferences in the Act Data folder. You basically re-name the folder after stopping the services as sometimes i've found using actdiag hasn't removed everthing in older versions . http://kb.act.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/14770 should help in doing this.

The other thing is maybe try uninstalling .NET and just putting 4.0 on from the installation folder.

Preferences did not fix it.

I may try removing .NET but I am a bit weary of doing that....

Re: Problem with 2013 license

Repairing .NET4 in programs fixed the issue originally posted.

Now ACT wants me to register, which I did long ago.

* Internet activation does not work

* Called via phone and confirmation code they gave me didn't work

* Uninstalled Protexis thing and re-installed (per call with ACT)

* Protexis still gave me same confirmation code .. and ACT still doesn't work.

Any advice is still greatly appreciated....

Hello,

Close Act!

Go to C:\ProgramData\Act\ActData and change the RegistrationData file to RegistrationData_old

Right click on desktop Act! logo and Run as Administrator and try registering
