I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 Pro on it. I have Act! for Real Estate ver 11.1. I installed Act onto my new computer and mover my database to it as instructed in the following Knowledgebase article:
On the new machine, ACT! is shutting down every time I try to start the program.

When it shuts down, are there any error messages? Do you have any addins you are using?
You may have a pluging in hte ACT plugins folder that is not win 7 compatible.

I get the follow dilagoe box;
ACT! for Real Estate has stopped working
Windows can check for a solution to the problem.
"then it give 3 options"
"then it says View problem details"

Problem - Act for real estate stopped working !!!
Got it ! I got act for real estate working in windows 7 after spending a day uninstalling, googling etc... So simple,
right clicked on sage act icon on the desktop, - properties - compatibility - check the box for "run this program in compatibility mode for win xp"... apply - and all seems to work properly,,,,
