Problem in call ACT API

we are integrating ACT with our ERP software. We installed ACT in one server and development going to be in developer machine. How can we access ACT api? Tried copying the dlls and below error was thrown.


"Could not load file or assembly 'Act.Shared.Licensing, Version=, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=ebf6b2ff4d0a08aa' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified."


It was working if we start developing on the server machine by adding the reference to ACT dlls (ACT installed path). Likely scenario could be a ERP hosted on web server should be able access ACT-web installed on another server.


Any ideas or solutions?

  I would consider checking our Act! Developer partner program to access our SDK support team.  You can find more information over at


On another note, you can just do an OLEDB, or even an ODBC connection to the Act! database directly if you're trying to pull information from Act!.
