I have recentally installed Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0. after installing antivirus software, Act is not letting me access Database located on other machine. i have tried to add ACT.exe in trusted zone but still not letting me access the database. i have also tried to disable firewall but no result.
please suggest what to do next?

You might try the following
Go to Start button
Click and select Run
Type in the following services.msc
Once this is open go down the list until you find the firewall, it could even be Windows firewall plus the Kaspersky
Click on Stop these services
See if database now open so then you will know it is a firewall problem and you need to look on the Kaspersky websit eon how to add both ACT and the SQL engince access through these. There are some instructions on this in the act knowledgebase for Windows firewall but might be different for Kaspersky
