Problem converting ACT 2000 database to Act Pro 2011

I'm trying to convert my ACT 2000 v5 database to ACT Pro 2011and i get:

 

Conversion has been haulted with the following message:

Year, Month, and Date parameters describe an un-representable Date/Time.

tried converting Act2000 to version6 and still get the sane error. How can i get around this. installing on windows 7 Pro 64 bit for use on network. Running Windows Server 2003

I always upgrade to ACT! v6 before running actdiag.

Then try upgrading to ACT! 2011 again.

upgraded to 6, got same thing

is there any way to convert the database without converting activities/tasks? can i make a backup and take out the activities/tasks?
