Premium 2008 and standard version 2008

If I create a database in Premium 2008, can someone who only has the standard 2008 version be able to use it without any problem?

Re: Premium 2008 and standard version 2008

There are differences in the Schema (database tables) of Premium and Standard databases so in short - No.

However, If you have a premium database you can use your premium installation to save a copy in 'standard' format

Use the 'File -> Save Copy As...' function. Be sure to to select 'ACT! 2008' in the Database Version drop-down.

One side note. If you then open the new copy in your Premium version, ACT! will actually upgrade it back to Premium, so I dont know how much use this is to you..

I'm setting up the fields & format for someone else and will never have to touch it again, so I'll save it as you suggested.
