I have gone through a couple of incidences where the dpi setting was to large for ACT and, as reported, the preference files get corrupt. I understand the fix which is delete all the pref files and let ACT rebuild them.
The problem with this is that this process knocks out the ACT email program which I use. Each time this happens I loose all my email and have to reset all the custom preferences.
From 20+ years of past experience with ACT I know that they will not fix any bugs in a release so that is not an option. The question I have is, is there a way to fix this without the wholesale deletion of all pref files? Is there one specific file that I can backup and reinstall if this happens again? This loosing email is getting old and the fix is also.

What version of ACT! (the full build from Help | About)?
What email system?

ACT version 22.214.171.124 Hot fix 1
Windows 7 ( I realize that ACT 11 is not certified for 7 but other than the nag box telling me that there is not email system, I haven't found anythng else that doesn't work other than potentially this issue.)
I am using ACT email system
