We have discovered an issue where phone fields cannot be created in a database that was converted to ACT! 2012 from ACT! 2007 or ACT! 2008. The field appears to be created, but does not appear in the field list, and you get the error described when trying to create another phone field of the same name. If this is the case with your databases, then this is the issue you are experiencing. We are currently investigating the cause of this issue and will post an update when more information is available, or a workaround or solution is identified. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
- Use another field type for phone numbers
- Create an empty copy of your database and import your current database into the empty copy (if this does not work, then you may need to create a new database and import into that)
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
