everything is in the title : I would like to have an official act! phone/mobile/fax field in text to be able to do what I do want with it.
Is it possible?
By official, I mean it can be connected to outlook official phone field.
Thanks for your answers.

If I understand your question correctly, it's there already.
In any Contact record, click on the button at the right hand end of any phone field.
In the little window that opens, click on the drop-down in Formats. You will see Free Form as an option.
To make that the default, click the Edit Formats button.
In the Edit window check the box next to Free Form. (Note, that will change the default for all your Phone number fields).
You can also create your own phone number layouts.
I use the Free Form for Toll Free numbers as they are often written as 0800 4PCHELP (472 4357).

Unfortunately, the free existing format is not so free : it is impossible to enter a "+" for the international format (instead of the "00").
I work with a lot of international customer and need this international format.

thanks for your answers.
The issue I face, linked to the fact I cannot enter the "+", is that outlook phone fields are connected to act! phone fields.
Currently, I have created alternative fields, but cannot connect them to outlook and then cannot synch contacts.
This feature is particularly powerful.
I want to use these fields in both outlook and smartphone.
What is the CC field?

I have tried.
It is catastrophic :
- during an import, numbers are truncated.
- during an export, the country code is added (sometimes).
- it is necessary to enter formats for each country.
- and it becomes catastrophic if you forgot one !
- for a country like germany, you have many formats for landlines.
I come back to my first text : this is why I would like to be free on the format : a simple text field.
