When I sync contacts with outlook, the extension in ACT is not coming through. I thought it was bringing it into Outlook and separating with a comma but it doesn't seem to be doing it consistently now. Any ideas?

In ACT! the extension is a separate field, in Outlook it is not. So there is no field for ACT! to place the extension. You can try adding a new field to Outlook for the extension and then mapping that the ACT! field. Directions to customize the field map are in this Knowledgebase article:
I believe the drawback to this is that you will not be able to dial the extension from Outlook.
You will need to consult the Help files in Outlook for instructions on how to add a new contact field to Outlook.
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
