Password Protected Database

I have been using Act! for many years, currently on a 2007 9.0 version.

I tried to customize Act! to restrict access to some of my staff, and it suddenly happened...I cannot access my own database!
The passwords I setup are not working, even for me. VERY scary!

Is there anyway to 'bring things back to what they were'?

I have a backup of the data base prior to setting up the passwords...can I just 'Restore' that backup over the new one...would that solve the problem?

Appreciate your comments.

Before overwriting your current database, make a "restore as" first to try your password.

If your password works in your backup, you should make a simple restore and overwrite your current database. But you'll loose any recent update.
