I started out with a purpose: that purpose was to transfer my Microsoft Outlook Address Book to my ACT! 2006 address book. I fulfilled that purpose, but with limited success. I did manage to transfer all the contacts, but instead of merging them like I tried to do, I now have thousands of duplicate contacts. It is neither feasible nor cost effective for me to manually merge and erase extra contacts, so I'm assuming there is some way to do it en mass, but I don't know how so I pose my question to the community: How to I merge contacts en mass versus individually? I can not possibly merge what I think is about three thousand duplicated contacts out of a total of just over nine thousand.
