Outlook email automatically in ACT 11.0 contact history

Seems ACT! does not take past emails and put them into the contact history. ACT also doesn't seem to take every email and put it in the history log. Can anyone explain what is going on?

I don't believe it will retro your old emails.  As for the "every" email, I believe you have to manually tell the interface to record emails.  If the contact is not found, it won't go in unless you have the option to "create contacts if they are not found".

Also, down in the taskbar by your clock, check the little icons and see if there is one regarding the quick attach process for ACT!.  If there are failures to attach contacts, the details will be found here.

Just to supplement rbrust response. Act will only attach sent emails by default, to attach inbound emails you'd need to setup Outlook rules. Additionally the current search is based on contact name, so if the contact name you sent to is not one in your Act database it will not attach. Lastly, any email in any folder can always be attached manually via the attach to act contact icon.
