Outlook Email and ACT! conflict

I have ACT! for Real Estate Version 10.0.2.191x52.  When I open to send a new email in Outlook I receive an error message that says "Word cannot write to file" and the ACT toolbar is not visible.  After I close the error message screen the ACT toolbar shows up and I can continue with the email normally.  Can anybody explain how to correct this?

I'm no expert, but in the past I've been able to fix issues like this by closing Outlook (and making sure the Outlook.exe process isn't running in Task Manager), going into Act > Tools > Preferences > Email, clearing the option to use Outlook by going into email system setup and unchecking the option to use Outlook.  Restart, then open Act! and go back and set the Outlook option back up, including the address book.
