Outlook Connector Failure Warning

[ Edited ]

We have been doing a lot of testing with using ACT 2011 Professional in a networked environment without SQL on the local clients.

The upshot of all this is that SP1-HF1 works perfectly. If you update to HF3 or HF4 then the local Outlook Connector ceases to function. Sage has no answer for this issue.

Uninstalling via Control Panel and reinstalling with SQL does not fix the issue.

Uninstalling via the ACT Uninstaller and reinstalling with SQL fixes the issue sometimes but not always.

Best suggestion I have is not to Hotfix!

Has anyone else experienced this and, more importantly, do you have a remedy?

I haven't been able to reproduce any issues with Outlook integration after applying hot fix 4.  Can you be more specific in what's not working?

Re: Outlook Connector Failure Warning

It is only an issue if SQL is not installed at the users workstation at the time of the initial installation.

SP1-HF1 works fine. Both HF3 and HF4 kill the Outlook integration.

Re: Outlook Connector Failure Warning

Followed the exact scenario and Outlook integration continued to work after applying hot fix 4.
