Outlook Address Book

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why If a contact is created in Outlook(with an e-mail address) that it does not create the e-mail address in the ACT! address book. It creates the e-mail address in another address book EVEN THOUGH the ACT! address book is in 1st position on the address list!

Can't find it in knowledgebase. Does anyone know how I can create an Outlook contact(with e-mail) and then create the contact/e-mail in ACT! automatically after the contact is saved?

I am using 9.X the most updated version.

Thanks,

Re: Outlook Address Book

patgenn123,

ACT! and Outlook address books do not sync with each other. You have to create a contact in ACT! for the email address to show in the ACT! address book in Outlook.

Re: Outlook Address Book

Download the trial version of Doublelook from www.companionlink.com and see if it will suit your needs. It automatically syncs yor outlook contacts with your ACT contacts. Ive been using it for years and am very happy with it.
