We just had ACT! by Sage Premium 2008 (10.0) (ST Edition) Version 10.0.3.182 installed on nine machines. Machines run Kaspersky Internet Security 7 or 2009 on Windows XP (Service Pack 2 and 3) and run Outlook 2003 SP3.
Before Act! was installed, we are able to exit Outlook and launch it again with no issues. If a user had prompt for profile, it would allow a profile to be selected.
Now that Act! is installed, when we exit Outlook, the Outlook icon remains in the system tray. If Outlook is launched again, we see two Outlook processes in the system tray. If you force quit the Outlook processes, the Outlook icon still stays in the system tray.
Of course, removing Kaspersky Internet Security or Act! gives back normal function to Outlook.
Any ideas how to get the two to play together with Outlook? We don't a Exchange server but use POP3 for email access and we do have the Exchange option in our software configuration.

After some more testing, it would appear that the problem only starts happing when we add the Act! address book into the Outlook 2003 application.
Any ideas of what the issue could be?

I have been told that the issue we are having only happens in version 10.0.3 release and and 10.0.2 release.
So I went onto the Sage website to see what has changed from 10.0.2 to 10.0.3 and now I am seeing information about version 11.
So does anyone know of what changed from 10.0.2 to 10.0.3?

We have tried version 11 as well.
Seems to be an issue with Act! not working correctly with some antivirus/firewall software that when the Act address book is added into Outlook for the integration to work.
We use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.

The reseller that we obtain Act from has found the same issue when McAfee's product is installed.
Been told that several cases have been logged with Sage about this issue.
