Opportunity date error after applying version 17.2.217.0 (SP2 Update)

Running Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1

 

ACT Pro v17 was working fine for several months.   I updated to SP2, and now receive an error when switching to opportunity detail view from any other screen (contacts or task list or calendar).  The Estimated Close Date and Open Date are blank, the red exclaimation mark indicates these dates cannot be blank.

 

This error occurs with any opportunity layout in my working database, and also occurs in the ACT2015Demo database.  

When the error is present and demands that a date be entered, it resolves itself if I change the Layout.  I can then select different oppotunities and move around with no issues, UNTIL I change to a contact view, or calendar, or task list..... and try to go back to view opportunities. 

 

I've tried disabling any Add-ons I use. This does not correct the problem. 

 

I'm stumped.  Any help is appreciated.

I tried to replicate this issue and received the same error if there was no dates entered for both Open Date and Estimated Close Date. Enter both dates and click the save to ensure data capture.
