My password field has always been blank, I never typed one in. All my databases except one, today is requesting me to sign in. I tried to detach it per the knowledge base and when it came time to open it, same story. I tried the knowledge base suggestion to open the demo and then try opening, no luck. I went into one of the other databases and "change password" typed one in thinking it might reset all of them, but still can't get in this one. Same error "could not authenticate user. Verify the username and password and try again".
Thanks for any suggestions.

My first thought is that your username is different. Try with a middle initial, or other iterations.

Just a few questions...
Did you create this database from scratch (i.e. New Database) or did you modify the Demo Database?
Can you visualize the record that usually is showing when you log in to this database - Contact Name to be exact?
You can sometimes see the User in ActDiag when looking at the audit logs for the database.
