Okay.... I was so stupid and now I am totally locked out of ACT. I was trying to alter the admin name as somehow the record keeper name was showing up as one of our customers. Anyway... to make a long story very short. I set the admin to browse to see if I could add another admin and delete the old one... by the way ---you can't. In the meantime Act got shut down and now I am totally locked out of my system. I can open the database but since I was in browse I can not add, alter or do anything to the system. Is there someway to fix this because I would hate to have to enter all this data again. Please Please Please say that there is a way that isn't going to cost me an arm and leg.
Thanks in Advance,

Which version of ACT?
In last versions it is not possible to deactivate all administrators from your database. And if you tried that you should receive a message that tells you that it is not possible because database must have at least one adminisrator .
So, if you could deactivate your current login, it probably exists an other user with admin rights. By logging you with this other admin, you'll be able to promote again your first user.

Try this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/3gyvgt
After getting into the database, you should also update to 9.01 - You can download the current patch from http://www.act.com/support/updates/index.cfm
Then get Hotfix 3 from the Knowledge Base
